A rowdy village street has been left without post for two months after it was blacklisted by Royal Mail because staff kept getting attacked.
The abuse got so bad that postmen demanded police escorts when doing their rounds on the road in Risca, Gwent after being pelted with missiles by yobs.
Deliveries to the street were stopped after postmen were pelted with objects from a block of flats.

A Royal Mail spokeswoman said: ‘Our staff have been threatened and intimidated, including having items regularly thrown at them as they try to deliver residents’ mail.

Neighbour Chester Chaffey, 71, said: ‘I’ve been without post for nearly two months. It’s outrageous.’
The Royal Mail spokeswoman added: ‘We are still liaising with the council and looking at all options to enable us to resume deliveries to residents as soon as it is safe for our postmen and women to do so.
‘In the meantime, customers are able to collect mail from our delivery office, or request us to deliver it to an alternative address in the area.’
